Finally, there are large numbers of “freelancers” who can be found in bars, hotel lobbies, shopping malls, discos or on the street corners. While some are sex trade professionals by definition, others are less clearly so, and may simply ask for or expect payment from the men they sleep with.

The distinguished owner of several such affluent parlors, created a commotion in 2003 when he publicly accused hundreds of police officers of having accepted bribes from him.
